CMF Adds Depth to Team For Third Time in 2014

PHILADELPHIA (December 1, 2014) — CMF Associates, a leading provider of financial, operational, and human capital solutions to private equity, middle-market, and small cap public companies, today announced that four professionals have joined the firm, the third hiring push of the year.

Jon Woodall, CPA has joined as a director, Kimberly Kerr has joined as a marketing associate, Kate Collins has joined as a deal origination associate, and Tia May has joined as the new office coordinator.

“We want to go into 2015 fully prepared for what we believe will be strong economic tailwinds in private equity and M&A,” said Thomas Bonney, Managing Director, CMF Associates. “Jon, Kim, Kate, and Tia represent additional strength and capacity across multiple functions within CMF.”

Jon Woodall

Jon initially joined the CMF team in 2012 as a consultant and will now take on a director role, serving in a leadership position on consulting engagements for private equity-backed companies. Jon will be leading client projects, including due diligence, preparation for sale, operational improvements, and interim CFO services. Jon has extensive experience in healthcare, life sciences and traditional industries, as well as consulting.

Prior to joining CMF, Jon served as a CFO at various private and public companies, including Community Health, Inc. & Affiliates, Gilero, LLC, M&F Bancorp, Inc., and ArrayXpress, Inc., and was a Partner at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, where he led and managed over 20 acquisition and divestiture engagements with aggregate consideration in excess of $1.5 billion.

Jon holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and Business Management from North Carolina State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of North Carolina.

Kimberly Kerr

Kim joins CMF as a marketing associate and is responsible for communications, marketing, and sales to our extensive network of private equity funds and CEOs. Prior to joining CMF, Kim was a production coordinator for HMP Communications, where she worked in the circulation, marketing, and project management departments. Kim also works with the charitable foundation, TK Charities, to implement new marketing and advertising ideas to support their fundraising activities and charity awareness.

Kim holds a B.A. in Communication Studies and Public Relations from West Virginia University.

Kate Collins

Kate joins CMF as a deal origination associate, assisting in marketing buyside middle-market opportunities to CMF’s network of 500+ middlemarket private equity clients, as well as maintaining and building relationships with investment banks, business owners, and business brokers.

Kate holds a B.A. in Psychology from Texas State University.

Tia May

Tia joins CMF as the office coordinator, supporting the client work of our associates and consultants. With nearly fifteen years of extensive administrative experience, Tia will be a great benefit to the organization’s overall coordination and effectiveness. Prior to joining the CMF team, Tia worked as an Executive Assistant for Accenture, a Branch Manager’s Assistant for Smith Barney, and was a Chief Administrator for Mayworks Web & Business Company.
