CMF Predictions for 2016

This marks the ninth consecutive year for CMF publishing their annual predictions for the economy, socio-political issues, and industry trends. See how the actuals compared with the 2015 predictions and our past predictions, which you can find here.

2016 predictions include an increase in real wages, a decline in automobile sales, and continued political issues in Brazil. Other key predictions include:

  • GDP growing 2.7%
  • Federal funds rate increasing to .60%
  • Unemployment decreasing to 4.9%
  • Middle market PE M&A deal volume flat year-over-year
