PHILADELPHIA (November 19, 2010) — CMF Associates, a leading provider of consulting, recruiting and staffing services to private equity firm portfolio companies and other middle market businesses, today announced founder and managing director Thomas Bonney served as keynote speaker to kick off the first annual McGladrey Technology Business Solutions’ Dynamics Summit, a conference for current and prospective users of Microsoft Dynamics business systems held November 9-10 at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
In his keynote remarks, Bonney presented highlights from CMF’s 2011 “Predictions from the Center Mid-Field,” the firm’s annual review of economic, socio-political, and industry trends and indicators for the coming year. Projections showcased for the audience of finance, IT and sales professionals included a shift down in unemployment to 8.9 percent, and a 20 percent increase in temporary employment as temporary work arrangements gain increasing legitimacy in the marketplace. In light of these trends, Bonney urged attendees to institute a forward-looking orientation overall, and specifically to start hiring now if staffing additions are anticipated. He also advised that firms maintain flexibility with IT and human capital investments, given the rapid and unexpected changes seen in the marketplace.
Bonney holds more than 20 years of experience in finance, operations, technology, business development, and entrepreneurship. He began his career with Deloitte & Touche, where he worked in its Philadelphia and London Accounting/Audit Practices. Subsequently he has been active in entrepreneurial activity including founding CMF Associates in 2002. Bonney is also a founder and Board Member of Brazilian spirits company LEBLON, serves as a lead director and audit committee chair at NovaDel Pharma (OTC:NVD), and is a general partner at the Fairfield Marriott, Morgantown, W.V.
