BCG did a study last year of relative cost competitiveness for 2004 (blue bar) and 2014 (orange bar) for the countries noted below (PDF version here). It is interesting that all countries, except Netherlands and Mexico, have become less cost competitive relative to the US during the ten years from 2004 to 2014. In fact, of all countries studied only the US and Mexico were classified as “Rising Stars” of manufacturing cost.
